Google made a new version of its Maps for Mobile product available today for the Windows Mobile and S60 platforms. Maps for Mobile 2.3 now supports the Street Views feature for WinMo and S60. Street Views had previously only been available on the iPhone, BlackBerry and Android platforms. Street Views allows Maps for Mobile users to see street-level images of their search queries and use them to get a better sense of where they are going.

Besides Street View, a new version of Google Maps for Mobile also has several other new features: request walking directions (in addition to driving and public transport) to get anywhere on foot, receive transit alerts from participating public transportation authorities and see that other people think of the place by reading reviews directly on your mobile phone.

So, if you have a Nokia S60 and Windows Mobile smartphones, go and download a new version of Google Maps, using google.com/gmm on your mobile phone. Enjoy the street light!
